(You Loom Bay)
Yulumbay is a stunning
black and red German-bred, Long Coat German Shepherd. In
Germany she might be known as a “long haired” German
Shepherd.
She has a dark, deep red and black pigmentation
that is well-known in the West German lines. Her colors are
rich and robust, not faded or ‘washed’ as you might see in
many of the typical state-bred black and red dogs.
Yulumbay is full German
lines, as her parents were imported from Germany, not bred
from most known American-bred Long Coat German Shepherd lines. Yulumbay was bred by my
haus, of Sina and Wotai Vom Haus Dettmer.
Yulumbay’s long flowing coat is somewhat unique to the long
haired or long coated German Shepherd standard, as ‘many’
females do not possess the long, flowing ‘mane’ inherited of only
the male sex.
Yulumbay has a long masculine
look that makes
her appear very ‘male’ looking. Her long coat is rich red
and the tips of her hair are painted black!
As a long coat or long haired German
Shepherd, Yulumbay has all the fabulous
German Shepherd traits. She’s a devoted
companion, alert and protective, yet
makes friends after hearing the ‘all
clear’.
Yulumbay possesses a keen sense of
smell and runs like a rabbit, quick
darting and dodging, while keeping her
serious focus on the target at all
times. She seriously loves to
chase balls!
In the training environment,
she’s been a pleasure to work with! She’s as
smart as a whip! She picks up her
commands quickly and is very eager to
please. However, she is not too food motivated. She has the natural
ability to train because she likes to
work!
Yulumbay has a medium long coat German Shepherd
drive.
Her attributes are thick, large bone and head, and a
superior long haired German Shepherd coat. Rich, deep
pigmentation.
Reserved, but neither aggressive nor hyper.
Willingness to work.
She follows her daddy in looks and
drive. Her average weight runs mid to upper 80’s. She was
not bred for size, nor was her size considered as ANY factor
in keeping her for our breeding program! She is larger than
her momma at two years.
Yulumbay has a heart of
gold! She is gentle, non-aggressive, walks without pulling
and never utters a sound on our outings.
She is accepting
of visitors and enjoys her trips to town to see people. She
lives in my house, sleeps near my bed, ‘watches’ over my cat
and plays nice with all my other dogs. Although, I’d prefer
she put the kitty in his ‘place’ at times, the most she does
is ‘follow him’ around and around the couch!
She plays with the new babies when they
arrive and is an all around Ultimate Companion. The only one
she gets ‘giddy’ around is her loving sister, Cuvee! It’s a
sisterly ‘love’ thing! You can see her other brothers and
sisters on Sina’s past litters page, 2006.
Prelim hips and elbows at
one year are good! OFA PENDING.
